Spicy Salsa

This Spicy Salsa adds a fun kick to the classic mild version! It’s perfect for families who enjoy a bit more heat, while still keeping things fresh and wholesome. With tomatoes, jalapeños, and a dash of cayenne pepper, this salsa is packed with flavor and a little spice that older kids and adults will love. It’s great for dipping with pita chips or as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, and more!

Ingredients:

1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained

1/2 small onion

1 small garlic clove

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cumin

Juice of 1/2 lime

1/4 cup fresh cilantro (optional)

1/2 jalapeño (remove seeds for less heat)

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)


Directions:

1. Add all ingredients to a food processor.

2. Pulse until smooth or chunky, as desired.

3. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

4. Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.


Notes:

This salsa has a little kick! Adjust the spice level by adding or removing jalapeño seeds and red pepper flakes.
