Air Fryer Onion Rings

Enjoy crispy, golden-brown onion rings with a healthier twist using the air fryer. These Air Fryer Onion Rings are coated in a flavorful breadcrumb mixture and cooked to perfection without the need for deep frying. Ingredients:

3/4 Egg

3 tbsps Almond Flour

1/4 tsp Sea Salt

1/4 Yellow Onion (large, sliced into thick rings)

1/16 oz Avocado Oil Spray


Directions:

1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (190°C).

2. Whisk the eggs in a bowl and set aside. Add the almond flour and sea salt to another bowl and mix to combine.

3. Spray the onion rings with half of the avocado oil. Working one at a time, place them in the almond flour mixture, flipping to coat. Transfer into the egg, coating evenly, then back into the almond flour for a final coating. Continue until all of the onion rings are coated.

4. Spray with the remaining avocado oil and place in the air fryer. Cook for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until starting to brown. Enjoy!


Notes:

Leftovers

Best enjoyed immediately, but can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to three days. Best re-heated in the oven or air fryer.

One serving is equal to approximately one cup.

Add garlic powder and smoked paprika to the almond flour coating.
