Take a few minutes at the end of the week to think back on what you noticed, practiced, and experienced. Use these questions to reflect on what worked, what felt challenging, and what you might carry forward into the week ahead.

Reflection Questions

Did you notice stress showing up in your body earlier this week than you normally would have?

Which breathing, sensory, or movement tools worked best for THE different people in your family?

Was there a moment this week where co-regulating with someone else helped more than trying to calm down alone?

What would make the calm corner easier to reach for next time?

Learning to regulate isn’t about never feeling stressed. It’s about recognizing when stress is building and having tools that can help you work through it. Maybe your family used the calm space this week, practiced a breathing exercise, turned on some music, or discovered that a different strategy worked better. The goal isn’t to get it right every time, but to become more familiar with what helps each person when stress shows up.

Remember:

Stress is a normal part of life. Learning to recognize it and having a few familiar ways to respond can help your family navigate stressful moments with greater calm and confidence.

As you move into the week ahead, make space to return to the strategies that worked and continue discovering what helps each person in your family feel more settled.
