Now it’s time to put this week’s wellness ideas into action! These simple ideas & activities are designed for families to explore, create, and enjoy together.

Choose what works best for your family and have fun along the way.

Finding Calm Together

Mindfulness helps us slow down, notice what's happening inside our minds and bodies, and respond thoughtfully to our emotions. Practicing mindfulness doesn't make difficult feelings disappear, but it can help us feel more grounded, focused, and prepared to handle challenges.

This week, set aside a few quiet minutes to practice mindfulness as a family. Use this time to slow down, breathe together, and notice how your minds and bodies are feeling.

Guided Meditation

This guided meditation is designed for children and teens, but it's a wonderful activity for the whole family to enjoy together. It offers a gentle opportunity to slow down, practice mindful breathing, and create a few moments of calm during the day.

After the meditation, spend a few moments talking together:

  • How did your body feel before and after the meditation?

  • What emotions did you notice?

  • What part of the meditation did you enjoy most?

  • When might this be helpful during your day?

Other Ways To Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness can be woven into everyday routines. Try one or two of these simple activities throughout the week:

🌬️ Take five slow belly breaths together.

👂 Pause and notice five sounds you can hear.

❤️ Place a hand on your heart and notice your breathing for one minute.

🌳 Spend a quiet minute observing something in nature.

✨ Before bedtime, share one thing you're grateful for and one feeling you experienced that day.

Even a few mindful moments can help children and adults feel calmer, more connected, and better prepared for whatever the day brings.
